Cumberland's 84th Annual Rutabaga Festival Parade

Greetings from Cumberland, 'The Island City'.
It will soon be time for our 84th Annual Rutabaga Festival. The Cumberland Chamber of Commerce is now making plans for the Festival Parade. It will be held this year on August 28th at 1:00 PM.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend a sincere invitation to your community or organization to celebrate our Festival with us by entereing a unit in our Grand Parade. Cash prizes will be awarded in each of three categories for Royalty, Commercial and Service groups.
Please check your calendar now, and make plans to attend the largest festival in Northwest Wisconsin. Please complete and return the form at the bottom of this screen by August 17th. We will then assign and send you a line-up number, map, etc. We will send this back via regular mail, so please watch for it. You will need to bring this number with you to the check-in area on the day of the parade.
We will again be sponsoring a Queen's Tea prior to the parade at the Middle School, adjacent to the line-up area. See the invitation link at the bottom of this page. All royalty are invited to attend.
Special Requests: Consideration will be given for all special requests that are made in writing on the
registration form. For queens/band members only, that need to get back to their band or float, we do
provide a shuttle service. You must let us know ASAP if you need this service by calling the Parade Chairperson at 715-822-4783 or the Chamber Office at 715-822-3378.
Political candidates are asked to make a $50.00 donation to our parade fund.

Thank you for being a part of one of Northern Wisconsin's Premier Festivals.
Please observe the following rules for an enjoyable and safe parade experience for everyone:
* Check-In: From 12:00 noon to 12:30 PM at the Cumberland High School Parking Lot.
* Nothing may be thrown from your vehicle or unit: If you have giveaways, please provide walkers to hand them out. Liability of injury due to passing out giveways is assumed by the unit, not by the Rutabaga Festival.
*****Absolutely no alcohol will be tolerated either in the waiting area or on your float.
